Carbon Fiber Reinforcement In The Quanzhou Zhongjun Square

Carbon fiber reinforcement technology should be used in the flexural part of the concrete normal section. After testing, it was found that the use of carbon fiber reinforcement technology for concrete components can effectively improve their strength and actual bearing capacity. When the bearing capacity of the reinforced concrete reaches the limit, the number of cracks in the flexural members of the normal section is small and evenly distributed.

Project Overview

The project is Quanzhou Zhongjun Plaza 2#, with two underground floors (partial one) and 22 floors above ground. The cast-in-place reinforced concrete frame shear wall structure has a second-level earthquake resistance. At present, the basement has been completed, and the upper part has been constructed for four floors. Due to the adjustment of the construction plan, the construction part needs to be renovated and strengthened.

Choose carbon fiber reinforcement

First, carbon fiber reinforcement technology should be used in the flexural part of the concrete normal section. After testing, it was found that the use of carbon fiber reinforcement technology for concrete components can effectively improve their strength and actual bearing capacity. When the bearing capacity of the reinforced concrete reaches the limit, the number of cracks in the flexural members of the normal section is small and evenly distributed.

Secondly, carbon fiber reinforcement technology should be used in the concrete compression member part. When wrapping the carbon fiber material above the concrete square column, it must be ensured that the uniformity of the carbon fiber material is not affected during winding, so as to enhance the load capacity of the square column and ensure the structural stability of the concrete square column. In addition, the carbon fiber material should be installed on the concrete column to improve the bearing capacity of the column. The carbon fiber reinforcement method with the load as the background will appear compressive deformation after the force is applied. However, the carbon fiber material has certain restraint, which can provide a certain lateral restraint force for the concrete compression member to ensure the limitation of the concrete compression member and the bearing capacity of the member.

Finally, carbon fiber reinforcement technology should be used in the shear member part of the concrete inclined section. Reinforcing old buildings with carbon fiber materials can effectively improve the shear resistance of components. In actual construction, construction personnel must learn to formulate reinforcement plans based on actual conditions, select reinforcement methods, and design reinforcement amounts to improve the shear resistance of concrete structural members.

Concrete surface treatment

During the renovation and reinforcement construction of Building 2# of Zhongjun Plaza in Quanzhou, the construction personnel formulated four treatment plans in order to ensure the quality of concrete surface treatment:

(1) Grind the bonding surface of very old and dirty concrete components, remove the 1-2mm thick surface until the new surface is completely exposed, and use oil-free compressed air to blow off the powder.

(2) If the concrete surface is not very dirty and old, you can directly grind the bonding surface, remove the 1-2mm thick surface layer, remove the dust with compressed air or rinse it with clean water, and let it dry completely.

(3) For the new concrete bonding surface, first use a wire brush to remove the loose scum on the surface, and then use a stiff brush dipped in detergent to wash the surface, or rinse with water, and wait until it is completely dry.

(4) For concrete components with high humidity or concrete components with an age of less than three months, the bonding strength of general resin-based adhesives on the wet base layer will be greatly reduced. Therefore, in addition to meeting the above requirements, manual drying treatment is still required.
