Slab Strengthening

The construction area of this project is about 10,000 square meters, which is mainly used for warehouse stacking goods. Due to the needs of use, it is planned to be transformed into a production workshop for placing large-scale heavyweight equipment. After review and calculation by the housing appraisal agency, the current bearing capacity does not meet the requirements for safe use after the proposed renovation, and the floor slab needs to be lifted and strengthened. After discussion, reinforcement methods such as pasting carbon fiber cloth and adding steel beams were adopted for construction.

Lifting the load-bearing reinforcement of existing buildings is the most common type of reinforcement in reinforcement projects. In real life, it generally comes from the following two reasons:

First, the existing floor needs to increase large-scale heavyweight equipment or other items to meet production needs;

The second is because the change of the original function of the building involves the change of the original building structure or the increase of the load, such as the conversion of ordinary rooms into warehouses, warehouses, and computer rooms.

Compared with new construction, the load-bearing reinforcement of existing buildings not only saves project cost, but also has a shorter construction period and faster recovery of investment, and is safe, reliable and convenient. This is also the reason why the owners prefer to choose to increase the load-bearing through reinforcement to meet the needs of use.
