Carbon Fiber
Ultimately, carbon fiber sheet reinforcement technology was selected to balance the needs of lightweight construction, efficient construction, and heritage protection.

Project Background
The project covers an area of approximately 21.2 hectares and was originally a tractor factory. The formerly an old tractor factory is built in 1961, it has aged for more than 60 years and suffers from problems such as concrete deterioration, cracks, and insufficient load-bearing capacity. It needs to be transformed into a cultural landmark through industrial heritage renovation to accommodate diverse businesses such as exhibition halls, restaurants, commercial offices, and hotels.
Key pain points
The original factory building's design load only meets the needs of industrial production and cannot adapt to the increased live load and equipment load under the new functions; at the same time, it is necessary to retain the industrial style such as red brick exterior walls and large-span roof trusses, and reinforcement methods that damage the appearance, such as increasing the cross-section, cannot be adopted.
Retrofitting materials
Ultimately, carbon fiber sheet reinforcement technology was selected to balance the needs of lightweight construction, efficient construction, and heritage protection.
