Maintenance And Reinforcement Of Heavy-duty Highway Bridges With Prestressed Carbon Fiber Laminate

The bridges were repaired and strengthened by measures such as crack repair, reinforcement of prestressed carbon fiber plates at the bottom of beams, and replacement of bridge expansion joints.

The four upper and lower bridges are all simply supported and then continuously prestressed concrete small box girders. The box girders and expansion joints have different degrees of disease, posing potential safety hazards.

The highway maintenance center decided to repair and reinforce the four upper and lower bridges. The bridges were repaired and strengthened by measures such as crack repair, reinforcement of prestressed carbon fiber plates at the bottom of beams, and replacement of bridge expansion joints.
