Repair And Reinforcement Of Sluice With Modified Epoxy Anchor Glue

Compared with the traditional chiseling, stripping and welding methods, the anchoring glue has the advantages of simple process, short construction period, low cost, convenient operation, low labor intensity, and easy quality assurance.

Wangzhuang Gate was built in May 1967, with a total of 45 holes, each with a net width of 8.0m. Under the sluice floor is the ground culvert of the Yibei Main Canal passing through the Shuhe River, with a total of 2 holes, the hole diameter is 2.8m in height, 3.0m in width, and the length of the hole is 493.55m. The gate bottom plate is also used as the foundation of the highway bridge. The structure of the Wangzhuang Gate highway bridge is a reinforced concrete "T" type simply supported beam structure, with a total of 44 holes, the net width of each hole is 9.0m, and the net width of the bridge deck is 5.0m.

The stilling pool, tank protection and overflow weir downstream of Wangzhuang Sluice were washed away in large areas, and the side walls of the irrigation ground culvert were cracked. It was rebuilt into a rubber dam with the approval of the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Water Resources. At the same time, after the surface of the original traffic bridge deck was chiseled, 6.5@15 steel bars were added, and 5cm thick C30 reinforced concrete was poured, and the cracked beam body was treated with epoxy mortar.

After more than 10 years of operation of the highway bridge, the railings and expansion joints of the bridge deck were damaged in many places, affecting the safety of vehicles and pedestrians. In addition, there is a rubber dam under the bridge, and debris such as stones often fall on the bridge deck and damage the rubber dam bag, which brings great safety hazards to the safe operation of the project. In order to eliminate the hidden dangers of the project and give full play to the benefits of the project, the Wangzhuang Gate traffic bridge is repaired and strengthened. The specific maintenance and reinforcement plan is as follows: remove the original highway bridge railings and make new C30 reinforced concrete anti-collision railings. The original simple expansion joint of the highway bridge was removed and replaced with a C-type Maurer expansion joint.

The original railings of the highway bridge are ordinary railings, and there are fewer steel bars connected to the side beams of the highway bridge. Only 4 (1) 10 steel bars are connected to the side beams at the head of each railing column. The anti-collision railings are required to be anchored into the side beams of highway bridges with a large number of main bars. How to ensure that the steel bars of the anti-collision railing are firmly connected to the side beams of the highway bridge, two options are selected for comparison before construction:

(1) Strip out the reinforcing bars of the side beams of the highway bridges and weld them with the main bars of the anti-collision railings.

(2) Reinforcing method.

Because the first scheme has high labor intensity, long construction period, large damage to the side beams of highway bridges, and difficult quality control. The anchoring reinforcement method has the advantages of simple process, short construction period, low cost, convenient operation, low labor intensity, and easy quality control.

Compared with the traditional chiseling, stripping and welding methods, the anchoring glue has the advantages of simple process, short construction period, low cost, convenient operation, low labor intensity, and easy quality assurance. A new treatment technology is proposed for the reinforcement of engineering structures and for solving the problem of connecting old and new concrete, which has good promotion value.
