Fiber reinforced polymer(FRP) wrap reinforce the insufficient bearing capacity of the original structure

Structural strengthening methods:1) the column is strengthened by enlarging section method and sticking steel plate method. 2) slab bottom and beam bottom are strengthened by sticking carbon fiber reinforced(FRP) wrap. 3) the local beam bottom is strengthened by the method of sticky steel plate. 4) the local plate across the central type of steel beam.

Project overview

The project is a 7 storey framework built in 1928. The owner intends to rebuild the building. After testing, the bearing capacity and materials of the original structure do not meet the requirements, so the whole reinforcement is needed.
