Project Overview

During the renovation and decoration of the children's palace in October 2008, cracks appeared on the top part of the structural girders. According to the test report, the beam is injected and repair by fiber reinforced polymer(FRP) wrap. In order to improve the normal service life of the structure.

Main construction methods

  • Where the surface crack width of the structure is less than 0.2mm, the epoxy crack repairing adhesive is applied.

Surface cleaning - brush epoxy grout (brush range over cracks 80-100mm, repeatedly coated, coating thickness of 1mm).

  • The crack width of the damaged part is greater than 0.2mm, and the crack injection adhesive is applied to the cracks to carry out automatic pressure grouting.

  • On the outer side of the box girder cracks, HM-30 type carbon fiber fabric is pasted on the vertical crack direction (width 200 * long 2500 bilayer, spacing 300).
