Opening strengthening of cast-in-place floor slab by carbon fiber fabric

According to the relevant regulations of the concrete structure reinforcement structure, each side of the carbon fiber fabric should be extended at the entrance of the hole greater than 600mm.

Project overview

This project is to reinforce the opening of the cast-in-place slab. Because of the opening of the floor, the original force path and reinforcement are cut off in the latter part. On the one hand, the internal force of the surrounding plate is increased and the stress concentration is concentrated; on the other hand, the reinforcement of the plate is reduced and the bearing capacity is reduced. As a simplified treatment, when the width of the hole perpendicular to the direction of the plate is b1000m and the number of steel bars is less than 20%, the compensation reinforcement method can be used to replace the steel bar (Asfy) cut off in the plate at the edge of the hole. In order to facilitate construction, carbon fiber fabric(CFRP sheet) is generally used as the post compensation rib, and the total amount should be more than 1.2 Asfy. When the opening is located in the short bending area of the plate, and when the fiber is used as compensation and reinforcement, it is not suitable to paste only the surface of the slab, but not reinforce the bottom of the slab.

With the consideration of many factors, the 200g/m2 high strength grade I carbon fiber fabric and a grade adhesive are first used to attach 2 layers of 600mm wide carbon fiber fabric at the edge of the hole through the calculation of compensation and reinforcement. According to the relevant regulations of the concrete structure reinforcement structure, each side of the fiber fabric should be extended at the entrance of the hole greater than 600mm.
